For anyone visiting our site, you may receive a Security Certificate Warning from Paypal. Apparently they have updated their security certificate and as you visit sites on the internet that use Paypal, your browser should update the certificate automatically and you shouldn't see it any longer.
here is the posting from Paypal's Help Center located at
https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_help-ext&nodeid=25434&leafid=61489&prior_transaction_id=8538&answer_id=16777222
What is the Security Certificate Warning?
PayPal has renewed our Security Certificate and it will be valid from 2/08/2006 to 2/09/2008. If you are using Microsoft Internet Explorer and are receiving a security alert message stating, The certificate has expired or is not yet valid when attempting to access a secure website like https://www.paypal.com, your web browser may not have the newest root certificates installed.
To resolve this issue, follow these steps:
* Please ensure that you are accessing PayPal directly at https://www.paypal.com (rather than a Bookmark or Favorite) and make sure your computer's date and time are correct by clicking Start, Settings, Control Panel and double-click Date/Time
If you are still receiving this warning, update your web browser's Trusted Root Certification Authorities certificate store by following these steps:
* Go to Microsoft's Windows Update and click Product Updates. Next, click the Yes button when asked to download the update. Microsoft will create a customized update package for your web browser, which should include a CA Root update. This can usually be found under the heading Recommended Updates. If you have problems with updating your certificate, visit Microsoft's Internet Support Center
If this does not resolve the issue, try to install the newest root certificates from Verisign at https://www.verisign.com/support/site/update.html. Click Accept and follow the instructions for installation.
Finally, if you are still receiving this warning, you should consider upgrading to a newer version of your web browser.
