Which Matrix Sites are the Biggest, and Why?

There are nearly 200 matrix sites out there. Many have closed up in the last 6 months, as it was noted in Sullivan's article. However, what I want to talk about here is which sites have grown to be the largest. What would you say are the top-5 matrix sites? Also, I would like some people to brainstorm and think of the reasons why these site became so large. Is it advertising, site design, or what?

They get big because they have a lot of advertising, have good site design and when you study matrices, you can see that the ones that are big, have short cycle lengths
