I've often heard it said that the ebooks sold by matrix sites can easily be found on the public domain for a couple dollars, or even FREE. So, what if we were to prove it?

Let's post the places where we can find these ebooks. I'll start.

Here is a link to an online e-business newsletter. If you opt-in for the mailings you can get the 101-high profit businesses ebook. I believe that this was one of the ebooks sold by EzExpo.

"Increase Auction Profits" as well as a lot of other Auction/Ebay books can be found here amung other places for free.

Really? There are these "matrix sites" out there who sell FREE e-books for hundreds of dollars and they expect to not get into legal trouble???...

Are the eBooks that matrix sites sell actually free to distribute? If so, then all of us could attach them to our messages here and we could offer them as a download for Matrix Watch members.

Free to a point...Some ebook TOS state that you can give the ebook away FREE or you can charge X amount of dollars. That is one thing that Matrix site owners seem to overlook is the "MSRP" of the Ebook. They usually have a specific amount to charge if you are gonna charge for it. They come with resell rights, but only for the amount stated. The wording in the Ebook will be like "you are free to give the ebook away or you can charge $19.99." Most of the ebooks offered on Matrix sites sell these kinds of ebooks. They don't state you can give them away or charge whatever you feel you wanna make off of it. The TRULY FREE ebooks that come with complete reseller rights that you can sell for whatever you want, usually aren't worth anything at all which is why they are absolutely free to distribute. There are laws in place to deter merchants from overpricing items and I'm curious to see if that surfaces at all in any lawsuit.
