Here is the message you referred to. It was posted on the basicallyfree.com website on May 28th. Whatever they say they are doing is irrelevant. We could easily sue them and their pay processor and get all the customers' money back.
From http://www.basicallyfree.com/index.php
We are sorry for the inconvienence but BasicallyFREE.com is shut down. There will also be no more ebook access. Refunds will be dealt with as stated in our legal section and as follows...
"Refunds may be requested but it will be a refund for the amount left after deducting a small portion for each month's FTP usage. Refunds will be processed immediately and sent out within the first weeks of August."
The refund's amount can be easily calculated by taking the membership price, dividing it by the number of months the membership is good for, and multiplying by the number of unused months of membership.
The only way that we will be able to give you your money is with your address. Please send an email from That which your account is under, to refunds@basicallyfree.com. Make sure to include a valid shipping address, as BasicallyFREE.com is not responsible for checks sent to wrong addresses.
All other ordinary email addresses are no longer receiving email.
Thanks!
