I found this thread over at the matrixforum and thought it was interesting.

From vdub (Sent: 9/8/2003 10:16 AM)

After reading that Shelby has gone into hiding, and could possibly have left the country I had to make some phone calls.

The first was to arelative of mine in the FBI. While he can't formally press charges, he WILL be able to find out infomation if Shelby has or will leave the US with a pending lawsuit. That IS a crime and he can take further action there.

My second call was to a long time freind. He's a Federal Recovery Agent (a bounty hunter, basically). Through him, I can get ALL of Shelby's information from addressed to driving records.

IF he is trying to run, I can find out and maybe bring some law enforcement in to make sure that he stays put. If he's already gone, at least I may be able to find out where he is and ahev some freinds stop by to say hello.

I'll keep all of you posted.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So, I'm wondering if anyone knows anything about Shelby and if he is trying to leave the country or has already. Does Damion know if he's still living at the same place?

wow, hopefully, I never piss you off and have you looking for me...:D

Great work. I have a connection with a former FBI agent if we need help locating anyone as well.

I do not know where he is.
The only thing that keeps me from filing suit against him because of that last email he sent is because I do not have a physical address on him.

I thought I read before that he is your neighbor. Did that change recently?

He used to live around the corner from me. He vanished in a weekend, changed his cell number, and I have no clue where he is.

Shoot... You mean he really moved? I thought that it was just a speculation that somebody threw out there. He probably will not be gone forever.

Good to see you hanging around here though Damion.:)

Damion, a long time back I read somewhere that you mentioned something about Shelby's mother, you must have her number which can be used to get in contact with Shelby. I find it hard to believe that he just skipped town, how is he going to pick up those few money orders that some people might still be sending him?

damion
September 9th, 2003, 10:34 AM
I do not have a way to contact his mother. Even if I did - I would not post it or give the information out. His mother is a very nice woman and I would not want to put her through the troubles of people calling her.
He has a PO Box here which is how he is getting the money orders. I believe he is living in New Orleans with a friend but do not know any more than that.

Seems as if though Shelby might have moved out of the country.

Since this information is private and you can't really get any use out of this, I will post the info I found on doing a whois search, but if watchdog feels it's inappropriate, then he may edit this post.

For info, just go to www.godaddy.com enter the site's address, and type in the security code to get this info.

EZ Expo.com, Inc.
Corporate Officers (support@ezexpo.com)
228-123-4567
FAX: n/a
PO Box 346 Corozal, BELIZE
BZ

It seems as if the site did move out of the country during a lawsuit. If he were going to do this, it should have been way before the lawsuit. Anyways looks like that is the new country according to the search.

That is old news - but thank you for trying.
He restructured EZ in Belize a few months ago. I am unsure but I doubt that he is personally in Belize because he still has to come to Mississippi to get his money orders.

hehe, LoL. Okay Well I haven't been around here that long. Is there a way you can get mail forwarded to a new address? If so, he could be doing this. Having the mail transfer to his new address. Just a thought though.

Damion, I didn't mean leave the contact info about Shelby's mother for others to see. I meant for you and only you to personally find out where Shelby is, as you seemed pretty upset with him.

I do not agree to leaving other people's personal information out there on the Internet. It is bound to end up in the wrong hands and there are enough people out there that don't like Shelby and would most likely do something they shouldn't do if they got their hands on his info.

Not from a PO Box.
I thought about sending a letter to the PO Box with "Return Service Requested" but it was brought to my attention that a PO Box will not do that.
On the other hand, I believe he is in New Orleans living with a friend. New Orleans is about an hour from here so it is only an hour ot pick up his mail here in Gulfport.

Well if he really is planning on moving away, set up a watch post one day, and when he comes to get his mail for 1 last time, snatch him! LoL. Just kidding, but the government could do it that way!

Yes, it is easy to foward your mail. I think the Post Office does it for free for 1 year. I do think though, that if the law was looking for him, that the PO would probably give the new address to them. Maybe someone should contact the law and tell them where that PO box is at, so that they could go talk to them.

The point I was trying to make is that I doubt very seriously he is forwarding his mail. He does not want to be found so he is more than likely coming here, checking his mail, cashing the money orders and going back to where he lives now.

In that case, then the authorities could still talk to the PO. I'm sure the PO would cooperate. I'm not sure about it, but I bet that they could ask them to put his mail in the back and put a not in his mail box stating something like your box was too full, and you will have to ask a clerk for your mail. Then they could call the police when he asks for his mail. That is just a thought. I don't know of the PO would do that, but it does make sense.

The only problem with that theory is that there is nothing legally saying he has done anything wrong.

It would first have to gain attention of the authorities and be proven that he is operating illegally. After that, then they could do something like that but until that point, there is nothing the authorities are going to do about it.

Right now, the only thing in stone that Shelby is guilty of is being an *** to his customers.

You forgot to mention he also posted your personal information in a mass email to thousands (not sure how many received that email). I received that email and would never call your number, and if you notice he didn't post his phone number in that email for customers to call him. I think he wanted to piss you off or just that dumb to give out all your contact info. If I wanted to contact you I would send a quick email.

Yes - he is also guilty of being an a** to me.
I could probably press charges against him for harrassment but I would rather just sit back and wait for karma to kick him in duff.

Damion, we all know that Shelby is no Karen, had he only done what she does, he would still be around and people would have been happy.

WatchDog would of had no need to bring a law suit against him, however, due to either greed or perhaps other reasons, Shelby has placed his own foot in his mouth and is now slowly started to eat it.

I had no idea Shelby was hiding like that. Moving? Ditching his cell? Disappearing online and killing his own forum (no loss there).

Living with a friend (shacked up with WiitLess?) in N.O. now? Ha!

Running like a scared kid.
I'd love to hear him say he's not afraid of the lawsuit now.

If it's any consolation to those who haven't gotten a refund yet or just plain lost out, think about how much all this has impacted this idiot's life.

Between the lawsuit and tons of folks looking (and I mean *physically looking*) for him many of whom have some substantial resources legal and otherwise, and the self realization that he's not as bright as he thought he was, it's gotta stink.

That's *my* compensation.

He made a few thousand, probably blew it all (if he can't afford to live alone), and figured he was untouchable if he just ignored it.
Now he cashes a few MO's once in awhile, for beer money. (hello IRS!)

What a life, eh?

Sometimes it seems that fate sucks when the jerks of the world seem to always come out ahead...... but they don't really.
It does come back to them. It's just that we are not always there to see them lose when they do.

And he's losing.

Anybody wanna be Shelby right now? Didn't think so.

Bobby

Long time.......... Hope you're doing well, bro. You're handling this a lot better than I would've.

Couldn't Shelby and Damion be the very same person? Lets see here...

Once upon a time a guy creates this website..after a while, he realizes that it could be considered a ponzi scheme and it will go on forever and ever...the lists will get longer and a huge liability will be created. People will keep getting madder and madder as the lists get longer and longer..what should that guy do?

Oh I got it, I will create this fictional neighbor named "Shelby" and give him the business. Then the fictional guy will run off to Belize and I will have washed my hands of the whole entire thing. It will be so cool..this Shelby person will take the responsibility for the whole thing...I will be a hero..helping some of the poor people that this dastardly Shelby character took advantage of. I can even create some other online identities so support my story. After all, I am so smart and others are so dumb, this will work great! The ultimate online fall-guy. Created out of thin air on message boards.

All I have to say is good luck when the poilce start looking into this whole thing. This just keeps getting funnier and funnier.

 I don't think this is the case here, but I wouldn't put it past someone else to do this. Both Shelby and Damion are named in the lawsuit, so it really doesn't matter. Since they are both being sued, why would one stick around, and the other act that way?

It is simply a way to make someone else look like the bad guy. He had better be careful though. Judges take perjury very seriously. Using a false identity is also a serious crime.
