Hi all, I was hoping you could give me your opinion on one possible matrix scam.
The Pitch:
The basic pitch is for people to reinvest the money that they normally spend
on daily products, and purchase their items on the ITEAM website. For
example, instead of paying for a packet of Irish Spring soap at a local
target, go on the ITEAM website and spend the money on there. The benefit of
this is as follows, 3% of the money spent for buying the product on the
ITEAM website goes back to the consumer. Basically, ITEAM pays the 3% using
advertising money from the IRISH Spring Co. (Supposedly from advertisement
money) through a tracker system that ITEAM has built in. So for every $100
spent, the consumer gets $3 back. That sounds great and all, but here is the
fishy part:
The ITEAM plan to earn money:
The consumer has to join a team of local people and create a network that
buys all their products online. Enrollment fees cost about $300. $150 for
enrollment fee, and another $150 to use for trying out products. This can
range from dishwasher soap to car tires, all of which are from brand name
stores. The more people that join this network, the more people save higher
up on the chain. So, for example, if it was a team of 5 people, the person
at the top of the chain saves the most. The chain grows as more people are
recruited, and eventually people are suppose to end up witha positive
income and more money than they spent. Basically, the promise is that either
you even out and your products become practically free, or you even out and
you earn a positive income of up to $4,000 a month. To earn up to $4,000 a
month, you must build your own seperate teams that are independent of the
original one you joined, and do other things like put on seminars in
different towns, in which ITEAM pays you. If you do all this, plus more,
ITEAM says you have the potential of earning over $36,000 per month. This is
where things got REALLY fishy for me. Sounds a LOT like a pyramid scheme.
Anyway, I'd like your opinion on whether or not this sounds like a matrix
scam. I am pretty sure I already know the answer. However, I need to find
evidence to back up my suspiciouns. I hope I am not troubling you, and any
reply you give me will be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Also, the CEO of this company is Fred Harteis. He's suppose to be a pretty big shot business man.
