[Newscast copied in the interest of 'fair dealing']
May: Hello and welcome to Newscast #7
Jorge: Number 7
May: I’m May and this is Jorge, George, Moboking, however you wanna call him and of course Pamela and Skye already on the phone, so welcome ladies
Skye: Well hello to the three of you! Once again I am blessed to be here with all of ya. It’s that time of year and my allergies are acting up so I would like to apologize for sounding kind of stuffy.
May: That’s ok
Pamela: Hi guys! It’s another beautiful sun shiny day waaaay out here in the Great Northwest, and I’m so glad to be able to do the newscast with you guys today!
Jorge: We too, same from us. Well, we have more questions than last week, that’s a good sign. We’re going to get started with Skye and you know, how, you know we’re going to talk about how CEP Coast recovered so fast and what happened with C88, why is taking so much longer?
Skye: CEP Coast was able to rebound faster mostly because it had a fewer number of active ad packs. Coastin88 has many more active ad packs than Coast. However, we are starting to see the percent rise at 88, and this will continue to happen until it reaches a nice percent and finally stabilizes, just as Coast has.
May: We hope so, that’s good. Now Pamela, Will CEP Gives Back help CEP members to get started in CEP one day?
Pamela: CEP Gives Back is supposed to be used to help people who are in serious need. It is strictly for those with medical needs who can’t afford their treatment, or for those who are in extreme need and cannot meet their monthly financial obligations. The applicants have been many recently and we could certainly use more donations to be able to help all those in great need.
May: Ok, that’s good, so we have to keep donating then.
Pamela: That’s right!
Jorge: OK, I got another one for Skye again, in regards to the other sites under the CEP umbrella, as far as the financial side of these programs is concerned, would the companies income be affected if CEP was shut down and cause all the other sites to cease operations or the whole company will collapse?
Skye: As far as the financial side, they would not be affected at all. They all operate completely separate and each has their own financial records. All the sites are running completely independent of CEP and do not require money from CEP to remain self sustaining.
May: Ok, so Pamela When CEP reopens there may be a “run on the bank” so to speak. So if that might be the case I was wondering if Trevor would consider allowing those of us that have pendings waiting go into compounds, I mean change them into compounds?
Pamela: Oh well May, they can’t really consider these kinds of alternatives until we hear back from the SEC. They really don’t want to make decisions or plans until they know what the SEC’s decision is gonna be. After they do get the decision, they could then plan and makes these types of decisions accordingly. But that’s a really good suggestion and I’m sure Trevor will should keep that thought in mind.
Jorge: OK, Skye, we know that the “Site Stats” page is being revamped on the main page BEFORE you log in, but will it be available to the members to see AFTER you log in?
Skye: As we stated in the last newscast, the stats page will be geared towards the advertisers. It will contain information pertaining to their advertising, such as ratios for members, hits and ratings to their sites. Once it is revamped, it will be available to every body.
May: That’s good, everybody’s waiting for that. So Pamela, what protection does CEP`s sites and forums have against hacking and the subsequent compromising of security in the sites and in addition, what protection does all the CEP websites have against hackings and viruses?
Pamela: Well May, first and foremost, Clayton has programmed everything from the ground up. He also studied hacking for quite some time, so he could know how hackers think, to know what they do, and therefore prevent them. The scripts that Clayton has made are 100% unique and no one other than Clayton has ever seen it. The script is server side, so a random person on the internet can’t just pull it up. This means that even if there were loopholes, they would be very difficult to find, because the hacker can’t see the script. As far as virus protection, if people can’t hack into it, they can’t put viruses on the site.
Jorge: Of course, Ok, that’s good. Skye, do you know, how much progress has been made on the new plan to not be dependent on advertising purchases?
Skye: They are making progress, but are not able to give an estimated time frame at this time. Members will be updated as we are able to give more definitive answers.
May: So, I got a question also for Skye, a coasting member asks; on our referrals page, can their E-MAIL address be displayed for us to see? Right now we can see who they are but there is no way to help them or train them in what to do because there’s no way we can get in touch with them or contact them.
Skye: It is something they have considered because they understand the importance of being able to reach and help members. But they also have to be careful with this as members have abused this feature in the past. They are trying to find a way so that we can offer this feature with little to no risk of abuse to the members whose email would be shown to another member.
Jorge: Since May 18th, are the funds still earning interest in the investments Trevor has placed them into?
Pamela: All transactions have been halted, including the outside investments, per the advice of the attorneys. This is not to say that we can’t pick it back up later once we get the green light from the SEC. This just means that right now, they have all been halted.
Jorge: Well, we had more questions than last week so…
May: Maybe we can have more but I don’t know, there’s anything else …
Jorge: Anything else we got today?, any guest we have today?
Skye: Well of course! What would newscast #7 be without a surprise guest? You’ll never know who we have on the line or you’ll never guess who we got on the line though.
Pamela: I know! I know! But I’m not telling!!
Jorge: Is Chris or the ladies back?
May: Were you able to get Clayton on the phone?
Skye: Those are great guesses, but you’re both wrong.
Jorge: What?
May: Who could it be then?
Skye: By popular demand, we have the one and only Trevor Reed.
Jorge: We got Trevor?
May: Nah you’re kidding me, is he really on the phone?
Jorge: Hi Trevor
May: Hey Trevor, that was a nice surprise, how are you?
Trevor: I’m sorry?
May: How are you?
Trevor: I am doing well, thank you, a little tired but thank you, doing well, thanks for having me on.
Jorge: Thanks to you
May: Thank you for been here.
Trevor: Sure, and first off I do want to make sure that we remind the members that we have had an awful lot of questions regarding CEP especially regarding the whole SEC situation that we are going through but I do want to make sure that I reminded members that a lot of the questions that are asked we don’t have the full answers for yet, a lot of them would end up been speculation and those are not the kind of answers we give, I try to give answers that are definitive and real and honest. We try to make sure that we don’t have any kind of question in the answers that we give, we want to make sure that we give clear answers and that’s why we’ve not answered the questions that people have asked
I simply want to make sure that we answer clear question that people understand, so the people can understand where things really are, rather than leaving things up in the air and saying… well it might be this or might be that, we rather that we answer questions where we can say well is definitely this or is definitely that, rather than leaving things up in the air and sometimes making things more confusing in the end, we try not to leave anything for speculation.
Jorge: yes, that’s the way it should be, yeah
Trevor: Yeah, I mean I put that little disclaimer in there and other than the questions that the gals have already answered for us, is there any other particular questions that you have left for me?
May: Actually yes, if you don’t mind, I mean we have questions from the members and I can dig up some questions here. So there’s a member that is wondering if you are “currently” working on the “new CEP” model in conjunction with SEC or will he have to wait for the SEC final determination?
Trevor: Yeah, we have kicked some ideas around back and forth but it sort of the same things as, just like I’ve had noted, a minute ago, there are so many things that are up in the air that we really want to wait until we hear back from them before we start solidifying any kind of decisions or goals that we have, we sure want to make sure that we hear back from them before we can start making those kinds of decisions.
May: So that will bring me to another question. Is the informal investigation nearing completion? Has the SEC given a time frame of how much longer this will take?
Trevor: Unfortunately I mean we are in the same waiting game as the members, we also have no idea how much longer it is going to take and we often have the same sort of frustration saying, you know gosh, it has been well over a month how much longer is it going to be? I did call our attorney early in the week and he guestimating and the words he used was “at least a few more weeks”. I don’t know how long that means but it sounds like it’s going to be at least a few more weeks.
Jorge: Yeah, that’s good, a few more weeks sound better now.
Trevor: That’s better than several weeks I guess
Jorge: Yeah, for sure
May: I bet the members are going to say that, it’s better, sounds better
Trevor: That’s right, that’s right, at least a few more weeks is definitely better than several weeks, so we’ll take it for what is worth.
Jorge: I know you don’t want to get into the speculation questions, but the members feel this is an important one. If the SEC decision is not the best, do you see us recovering our money within a reasonable time frame without going through a legal nightmare? What would be your plans to help us in that case?
Trevor: Oh sure, that’s a very important question and I understand that 100%, if the decision you know, ended up not been the best for CEP then certainly, it will definitely be our goal to get whatever funds we could together and build them up so that at the very least over a period of time we can make members whole. Certainly, that’s a 100% our goal to make sure that nobody looses anything but that has always been our goal from the start and that type of goal doesn’t change.
Jorge: That’s a great answer Trevor, thanks
May: Have you asked the SEC if you have permission to continue to payout the CEP members?
Trevor: Well frankly in reality, and we have seen some questions like that, you know… have we asked the SEC this or have we asked the SEC that but frankly we don’t have the right to ask the SEC anything. They are the ones doing the investigation and they ask us the questions. You know
Jorge: Yeah
Trevor: Yeah, as you can understand but needless to say we basically have to wait for them to contact us with the information, I mean the fact is, even though we thought we were properly registered to begin with we weren’t, that was a mistake on our part. We weren’t properly registered so we really don’t have the right or the authority to make any kind of transactions whether that be incoming, outgoing, whatever until the entire issue is resolved.
Jorge: That’s the way it is
May: That’s fair, thank you very much. Well I don’t have any more questions, do you?
Jorge: No, I just want to tell the members that Ask and you shall receive! You asked for Trevor and you got him right here.
May: Yeah, and want to thank you Trevor for coming by today. We know that you’re extremely busy and we and all the members I bet appreciate that you take your item to be on the newscast to talk to us and let us know, you know what’s going on I mean we appreciate and thank you for everything you’re doing for us.
Trevor: Thank you!
Pamela: Yes Trevor, I want to thank you too, thank you so much for making the time today I mean for us to do this newscast and for all the members who are listening or reading along thank you so much.
Trevor: Thank you very much as well, I appreciate it!
Skye: Well Trevor on behalf of everyone, we thank you so very much! The members will be so grateful that you could make an appearance like this!! This just goes to show that you are still alive and kickin’ and hopefully everyone will now see that you haven’t gone anywhere.
Trevor: I still have a pulse believe it or not.
May: Oh, and before you go, I want to congratulate you and Ginger for the coming wedding…
Trevor: Awe, Thank you!
Jorge: Yeah, now you can go and take your honeymoon and take a break because we gave the members what they wanted so I hope they’re going to be calmed down now.
May: Well, thank you so much, I don’t ladies, do you want to say anything else?
Skye: Well how about you’re welcome thank you for having us Oh, you are very welcome as always! Thank you both for having us! C-ya next time!
Pamela: Thanks again May and Jorge, for all you do for CEP. These newscasts are not only a lot of fun, but it’s a great way for us to get members questions addressed and answered. Until next time. Keep the faith!
May: Thank you to all the member for tuning in and until the next newscast
Jorge: So guys now you have it, see you next
