What happened to Gotmatrix

Hello anyone else having problems getting gotmatrix up! I just tried several of there pages and none load!

Are they down? Gone or is it just my internet connection? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanx STARR! I have been trying since my post about there forum. Wanted to go put my 2 cents worth in over there as well and corrupt the masses! LOL! Will try again later. I hope he's not dead as that will cripple the matrix community even more!

When he goes back online I will ask to have this thread removed!

The DNS entry is not stored so you cannot resolve the site. We're switching to a faster server so as soon as the DNS resolves you'll see our site again.

This site was up again till about 4:30 pm est on 9/17. Now they are completely down again. Anyone have any info? I thought they already transfered the site.

I am just curious as to why Greg hasn't come here to explain. I know he has said he won't be coming back here, but hey I wanna know. I will be posting on other forums as well. Maybe he can enlighten me there.

I thought that had already happened. I saw it down, then up, then down again. It wasn't till the second time that I posted. In the future, you might want to tell Greg that it is a good idea to tell his customers ahead of time about taking a site down. He could have made a post saying his server will be down between 3 and 4 or something. He would probably want to do this about 3 days in advance. Then threads like these won't happen.

Yeah... i have seen something like this happen in the past with another site.. When the nameservers were changed it was like only some people for the first 24 hours could see the change...

Most nameservers they say give it 2-3 days to be fully changed over. Possibly thats why you could see it then you couldnt cause that was exactly what was happening with the other site that I experienced.

That still doesn't explain why Greg failed to tell his customers. You know that his customers depend on that site being up, so that other customers will buy spots and cycle the people that have been waiting around for a long time. After waiting months, and then having to wait a couple more days because the server is having problems is not fun.

Well.. he has responded and told his customers... he responded in this very thread. Whos to say he didnt email customers as well? Sigx himself says they see the site fine, so has the other people that I had test the link... Not sure what more you expect the guy to do...

I might be mistaken, but wasn't there an announcement on GotMatrix that said they ALREADY were switched and everything is up and running again?? I believe it was in SMALL PRINT on the lower right hand side of the site. It even says something about the customers getting their own @GotMatrix.com email address with the new server. Are they switching again?? Or was that just a ploy to stall his customers out when the site isn't moving?
