I have heard a great deal about hurricane Isabel's path toward the east coast, but what will happen to inland states like Pennsylvania? Will the internet be down?

I don't know about PA watchdog but I live on the South Jersey shore line less than half a mile from the water. The internet can't really go "down" in any particular area. There are too many servers and to many redundant connections for that to happen. that's the way the internet is designed to work...there will always be a node somewhere that can get out.

I use comcast so it's a good bet if the winds go over 40mph we'll lose some of the lines feeding Little Egg Harbor where I live.

Good point db...

In hawaii when we get storms and things get knocked out my roadrunner stops working but I can always use AOL to dial up and go online... It just comes down to power, do you have the power to juice up your computer? If so you can get online without a problem...

Rest of the world operates perfectly fine as far as internet... hheheh we seen that when the Great BlackOut hit =o) Only those without electricity cant get online...

I'm from south-central PA.

We're cleaning up now.

Lots of wind, little rain. Trees and limbs down everywhere, power was out a my place for a little over 9 hours, cable modem for about 12 hours, the last just came back up about half an hour ago.
