View Full Version : My Prediction on Site Closures

I have seen many matrix sites close in the last week, but the funny thing is that when these matrix sites close up, it seems to be at the same time. Why is this? Well, the site owners would be the best people to interrogate, but my guess is that their pay company is releasing their funds to them soon. Take Ginix for example. Ginix releases a matrix site's account funds around the last day of the month. Now, when a site closes, a mad rush of people begin to email the pay company and ask for their money back. The paycompany, in turn, freezes the matrix site's account funds until the refund requests subside. If you were a matrix site owner who was planning to take the money and run, would you close at such a time as to give your customers enough time to request refunds? Of course not.

My prediction is that some matrix sites may begin to close within 24-48 hours of their account funds release date. This way they can get their money and the people who are left behind will be begging funds from an empty account. Now, this is my opinion, and I could be wrong, but it would be interesting if we could find the data to strengthen this hypothesis. If it is true, what do YOU think people should do?

If you know of a site that has recently closed, find out who their pay company was and when they released the funds to the site. Should you find anything to substantiate this claim, post it here, or send it to matrix watch.
