What has dealt the most serious setback to the matrix sites?

SHADY OWNERS! The only thing you don't have as an option. The fact is MOST matrix sites would close down eventually due to the OWNER'S LACK OF BUSINESS SKILLS or KNOWLEDGE OF MATHEMATICS. A matrix site is too easy to build and get going, but maintaining it is the hard part. When you have a site owner that dips into his "list" money for his own benefit and the lists get to be too big, they will eventually crumble due to no knowledge of "infinite" numbers. The fact is ALL matrix sites will eventually get so big and the number needed to cycle gets to be so big, that you are dealing with "astronomical" numbers. You have to be an expert in "theory" because that's what MATHEMATICS eventually becomes, "THEORY". The numbers get to be so huge as in the case of EZ & Gotmatrix, that I don't believe they will be able to recover even if they had enough purchases. You can tell most matrix site owner's are not making money because they begin to skim off the top from the very beginning. They figure eventually the list will work itself out but it never does. It works itself into infinite numbers and there are FEW SCIENTISTS that can deal with numbers that big. Especially when dealing with "relative theory". I recently read an article explaining what I am saying but I can't find the link. I will see if I can post that to this forum when I find it. The basis for any Matrix site is that the OWNER can handle the MATH when the lists get too long, and the FACT of the matter is, most owners are NOT MATHEMATICIANS. Of course it is a long time depending on how big the site gets for it to be at the level I'm speaking of, but eventually it will get there. Just thought some of the "scholars" out there on either side would like to entertain this and add it to their arguments.

Yes the math will kill them all. Funny how quickly matrix owners and supporters alike are so quick to try to defend this, but the numbers speak for themselves. I don't think you need to be a brilliant mathematician to realize the problem here.

A matrix list grows by the number of people it requries to cycle minus one every time a person cycles. So a 4-1 matrix is size 3 after the first person cycles, and size 6 after the second cycles, and so on. Once 10 people have cycled, the list is 10x3 = 30, once a 100 people have cycled the list is 100x3 = 300

the formula is basically:

list size = number of cyclers x (cycle length - 1)

(the assumption here of course is, that once someone cycles they are taken off the list)

As far as waiting to cycle goes, the list will have to be 300x3=900 people long for person 300 to cycle, and 900x3 = 2700 for 900 people to cycle. This is probably the best case, as the smallest matrices out there are 4-1 (at least from what I've seen). Just imagine of the cycle length gets bigger, the numbers grow even faster.

This should be in every FAQ on every matrix site. It is the hidden truth that they all fail to reveal.

of coure, the matrix supporters will argue that you should know that already and that they are not illegal, so they can do what they want.

I have noticed that alot of sites DO have the math equation on the site, but they stick to the "5 person length" and most customers don't quite grasp that equation when the numbers are bigger. That is how they get by...I agree they should post the equation for the LONGEST LIST that they have on the site in order for people to really grasp what they are saying. As well it also falls into, most of these owners BARELY know what they are doing in the first place. Alot of them need to understand the equation more before they try to explain it to their customers. I believe that's what happens in the long run, they skim money off the top and forget to pay themselves back and the list gets so big that the math is already too much for them, but they also have to factor in what they took and add it to the total of what is due and they just don't have the capacity to work that sort of thing out.

"5 person length"
Though it looks small but it grows slow and tends to stop easily.
