On Thursday, September 25, an Orange County Superior Court judge deferred making a final ruling on PaySystems' and Ginix's motion to dismiss the unfair business practices lawsuit. The credit card processors had argued they were not legally responsible for the illegal matrix sites because they were merely acting as a 'conduit.' The judge will revisit the issue in 2-3 months after the legal allegations are spelled out in greater detail in an amended pleading.
