How can ebay do this.

Here's a newly registered user: mounted452

and he's bulk lists 488 auctions with starting values of all 488 at $172,000 plus dollars, and he doesn't expect to get nailed.

Give me a break.

This guys asking to be banned/caught.

He's actually got one fool to bid $3500 on one of his auctions.

How can this seller be reported.

His auctions don't specifically state anything.other than generic manuf. specs.

Help get him banned.

I actually started to type an email to ebay last night, but decided to wait until my head was a little clearer (too much of the vino).

In my opinion, they need to do something about new registrants bulk loading hundreds of high priced (read worthless) auctions of things they aren't selling or trying to scam people on.

Read my first post above on this.

This person registers on Oct. 2nd and immediately lists 488 high priced items.

I know ebay can get some sort of help to monitor against people doing this, be it software or staff.

I'm not saying all bulk listers are wrong, but there should be some sort of cooling off period after you sign up that you can only list a certain amount of items until you gain a reputation.

I know you can't do a dutch auction unless you are ID Verified OR have a feedback rating of 30 or above and be registered on eBay for 14 days or more.

Any more thoughts on this?

Here's another prime example of what I'm complaining about.

UserID: tenretniz(private)

Registered on Oct. 3 (yesterday)

Posted so far: 788 items

You've got to read the titles, most are for FREE items (yeah, right).

I reported him yesterday around 1:30 PM ebay time, and he only had 240 items listed then, he's added an additional 500 since.

Sales as of about 1 minute ago: 127

I've reported these types of ads to ebay for the last couple of weeks, and they've been pretty good at closing them down, unfortunately he gets away with over a hundred at $9.00 a pop before he's caught.

Oh, one more thing, his feedback it up to 20 already, and one's a negative, but you can't view them since they're hidden, you can only see the count.

I guess you have a good point, but I have seen this happen also. Someone opens up an account. They sell crap like baseball cards for $0.10 to their friends. They probably just aske their friends to do this, because they are in on it. After about 30 of their friends leaving good feedback, they start with the scams. While you have a good idea, there are always loopholes. We need to think this idea out a little bit more. Good work, and keep thinking.

hurley9192,

Yeah, I figured that one out too.

I checked earlier today, and ebay closed over 600 of his auctions, and now he's got them relisted, he's faster than a speeding bullit.

I've already reported him again to ebay.

the good news is that we aren't the only ones reporting them.

Can we get more help to report this guy:
tenretniz

I've reported him each day for the last 3 days, and ebay successfully closes down his auctions (after he's already scammed at least 100 each day out of $9).

He's back again today, and has over 800 more auctions up again for the same scam.

I don't know what happened to ebay this time, normally they just shut these guys down the first day and then ban them, but this guy's done it 3 days in a row now.

His auctions are now gone as of 6:28.

We'll need to keep an eye out for him again, he's made a comeback 3 times already.
