Awesome work this week everybody. How many auctions do you think we have been responsible for shutting down together this week, including all of the auctions that fell when we got a seller NARU'd?

I'll need help on this one too.

User ID: wainwrightthomas

There's nothing in his ads other than manufacturers specs.

He's got 188 auctions up posted as of yesterday Oct.7.

All are for TV's (plasma, HDTV, etc.)

I checked his feedback, and he's got 156 postives and 2 negatives, all from him being the buyer, never from him being a seller.

I copied and pasted his total ads in an Excel spreadsheet, and he is listing (unbid and current bid) at over $262.000.00

Looks really fishy, unless he just started some kind of dealership.

Am I wrong on this guy or is he out to make a buck. I don't know what to report him on though.

That is a hijacked account. The legitimate owner of this account is from Canada. The few auctions that I looked at for the plasma TV's have a listing location in Miami. If you look at his payment options he uses direct OFF-LINE credit card payment....which means he'll ask the prospective buyers to fund a western union wire transfer with a cash advance from thier credit card.

I hope those zero or low feedback bidders are just vigilante bidders and not unedjucated newbies. I've already reported but we need a few more people to take this scammer down as quickly as possible. Anyone who wants to report use the seller ID
"wainwrightthomas" and explain in the report that this account appears to be hijacked....user is registered in Canada but selling location is Miami Florida and has never sold any type of high end electronics....has only been a buyer on Ebay.

Use this link: http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/identity-misrepresentation.html

and scroll down to False representation of an eBay member
and click contact ebay...you need to sign in and make the report.

The more reports they get the faster he will be removed.

Has been taken care of, it was a hijacked account and is now back in control of the correct seller.

All auctions have been canceled.

peterdragin,

Can I get help on another one.

All the alarms are sounding again, but I still don't know how to nail them, the auctions look innocent enough, but 2 and 2 still add up to what looks like a scam here.

Thanks.

I'm confident reporting the easy ones, but I guess there's some I'll never really understand how they expect to get away with their listings and hope not to be caught.
And there's so many singles out there it's almost impossible to nail them all, but the high priced ones need to be taken down and fast.

Nevermind all, he's gone and NARU'ed.

Ebay moves in mysterious ways.

They got to this one before I could type it in here and ask for help.

Someone else is on the ball.

Thanks whoever reported him.
