.....and gave you the right to speak for anybody but yourself? You say you're just "watching" out for others? What about the people you screwed over by getting other matrix sites to shut down? You also say they are refunding money? BS....who?....CheapPro.com isn't.....who is? I've been reading most of your BS on this site and others and I gotta say....it stinks! I know you don't have the guts to leave this message up because most people feel like I do, so before I'm deleted..............
Go Ezexpo!

I don't know if your message will be deleted, you don't seem to be using profanity.
But to clarify one thing, I don't think you should be upset with Watchdog for the demise of matrix sites. They are all doomed to faliure from the start, it is only a matter of time before they collapse.

The people running these matrix sites are just a bunch of scam artists. Keep up the good work and let God sort it out.
It's funny how the people promoting these scams are always the one getting angry at everyone else for hindering their schemes.
You keep scamming and we'll keep helping fight your scam. Besides, I'm one of the people filing this class action suit in CA to get sites like EzExpo and Rsient.com out of business.

Hey bobby. I said a few days ago that you were going to be a great asset to matrixwatch. And man, I was right. You aren't affraid to speak your mind, and you are one funny M.F. (please excuse the bad language). I hope that watchdog doesn't still disapprove of your "P.G.-13" posts.
Lets keep promoting matrixwatch.com

That's it. I can't write like a mall-rat anymore. I've never complained about anything. My involvement (either you haven't been around the forums or you are just Shelby - I don't know/care) and being a veteran of many a deleted post/thread comes from asking a question. One stinkin' question. That's the whole enchilada right there. Because, unlike you, I have a mind to ask these things and simply want an answer.
Let me clue you in, stud: I'm no goody-goody and not involved in any lawsuit and I AM NOT TIM!
It sounds like you are either a newbie who's made the mistake of investing in a long-listed site that's not gonna move cuz the owner (oops! "administrator") can't figure out how to make it run, or you really are Shelby. You make comments in the same rhetoric Shelby does.
When we first joined EZ we were all like that, cheering Shelby on and telling everyone else that "good things will come" and listened as the admins parrotted "Shelby will come thru, Shelby will come thru.... BRAWWWKKK!" (gosh that sounds familiar!)
Then we wised up and watched Shelby do what he does best - nothing.
How can you realistically say EZ will be around for *any* length of time? It's not been doing too well for the last few months. What? Do you think it's all the lawsuit? BS, dude. It's a handicap, for sure, but he's not doing SQUAT to maintain the damn thing! THAT's what everyone in the forums are griping about!
How can EZ ever "end up biting " (anyone) "you in the A@@! "?
You mean a countersuit of some kind? He doesn't even have the dough to ship to people who have long ago cycled! Read between the lines, fool! Ez Is GoInG dOwNhIlL fAsT.
What's this "WE will keep you busy"? Busy doing what? Preparing for the Charge of The Not So Bright Brigade?

I'll tell you who died - freedom of choice.
Well, it's not dead yet. But "Holier than Thow Timmy" is doing his best to kill it.

Hey Jason,Killer of Insects! You wanna talk freedom?
Check out Shelby, Wiit & JJohnson getting knocked back down to peon status at MatrixForum! That made my week!
Thanks to Damion, that forum will return to being a place to truly express one's ideas without fear of childish retaliation by a site owner (crap! I did it again. I meant "administrator") , and his brainless toad flunkies.
Of course this means that since Shelby and his minions got spanked online, we probably will really NEVER get an answer from him on anything. He probably won't even post there anymore (he's here more than there anyway) due to his removal from deity status.
Oh and I might as well join the "who-are-you-really?" faction and speculate that you are Shelby. You and uRiNaL.
I don't much care, an outhouse by any other name is still a pooper.

Jason-
You are exactly right. Freedom of choice to be an idiot is dying. People should be able to choose for themselves to take the risk and buy into a matrix. I am not one for all the people and politicians who think that their job is to use the law to legislate common sense. And you know if they can use a current law to do it, they will get new ones passed! The problem is that people seem to think that they have to 'protect' everybody from making mistakes. I bought into EZ Expo in Dec. of last year knowing that it might not work, but because of that OBVIOUS RISK I only spent $25, that way I would not lose much if it went under. That was my choice as an adult, and I resent the idea that some people think they have to protect 'stupid' me from myself by suing people. I made the choice, I took the risk, and I will probably lose my $25, but I made that choice knowing full well the risk, that is my right. Let people make their mistakes and pay for them, that is part of the price we have to pay for having the right to choose.

Virology, read my other post in response to your "Free Choice" comments in the "Stopping Ebay Auctions" thread.
I agree partially that it should not be the government's job to legislate common scense, but there is a difference in this situation. Your analogy would seem to indicate that it is common knowledge that these sites are very risky, but that is not the case. Most of the people that get involved in these sites are Uninformed on the risk involved.
Take seatbealt laws for example. It is common sense that seatbelts will help you in an accident, it has been rammed down our throats for the past 2 decades, yet states still feel they need to pass laws making it illegal to drive without seatbelts, and in many states a primary offence.
But matrix sites have only been around for a little over a year and a half, and many people are unaware of even their existance, plus similar scams have had devestating effects to the economies of countries when they exploded causin almost financial ruin to entire nations.
The benefits to the many outweighs the free choice of the few.

I have also responded to a few of virology's comments in the thread "What do you expect to get from this....". I also partially agree that while government should try its best to limit its intrusion into our daily lives, it is necessary at certain junctures. Arzel has pointed out that many of these people were duped into thinking the risks were lower than they really were. They were also not aware of certain factors outside of the realm of risk, like site owners sticking their hands in money pile through the use of fake names. They did not take fraud into account. These other factors do not enable these people to take a "controlled risk" when they enter the matrix. This continues on today. I suppose that if we were to sit down, have this chat for a few hours, and we were able to get into the deeper issues of where we disagree, I would take issue with your view of human nature. Your call to limit the government's involvement with internet scam could be rooted in your view of mankind as a "mostly-good" species. I think that when it comes to money, this is view is far too idealistic.

Watchdog-
I must admit that I was not aware of the use of fake names in the matrix... this does add a little spin to things. It is not that I think that the matrix sites are good, or that they are legal... I don't think people should break the law at all. I myself am a very lawful person with mutch respect for the rules of our society. However, I do think that in many cases the law tries to hard to protect people from themselves. If the matrix example is one of the times or not... I am not sure. But you must admit that our legal system, especially in the area of injury and product liability, has gotten al little out of hand. I guess that is where I run into my problems with this whole affair. As to my view of human nature- well I basically think that people are for the most part greedy, selfish jerks. So I most surely don't subscribe to the idea that people are mostly good. I just don't agree that this changes the fact that people that make the wrong choices should be sheltered at the expense of the taxpayers at large. I guess maybe my egotistical nature can't let me acknowledge that people could not see the level of risk in a matrix the same way I did...
Arzel-
So just for my info- do you agree with the seatbelt laws or not? :) Here in Washington state, the lame-*** State Patrol has been enforcing their 'click-it or ticket' campaign for 2 years now and in those 2 years traffic fatalities have gone up both years... so much for it's increase in safety premise! Not too mention the $9 million it spent to advertise the campaign, and the $1000 grants the traffic safety comission gave to departments that met a seatbelt ticket quota... Back to the topic at hand: If the sites are new, which they are, then your arguement holds water. As I said above, I guess I can't look past how I saw the risk when I bought in... As for the needs of the many outweighing the needs of the few, I agree with you 100%. But another way to look at it is to see the problems caused by a few people (the matrix people) and how attacking them and making any new laws will impact the majority of people (the ones that know nothing about matrix sites). The same thing happens when gun laws come up- the few criminals out there mess it up for those of us gun owners who are law-abiding. Everyone wants to ban 'assault weapons' because of crime, when their owners are almost overwhelmingly good citizens. Or gun registration, which has no effect on criminals (the minority of people that use guns) who ignore laws by definition, but does inconvienance the majority of people (legal gun owners) Just something to think about... in our system of government, good intentions have a nasty habit of going way off course and making a mess for everyone.
