A recent comment from one of our members was concerning:

I invested e-Gold in both and the money’s all gone and not retrievable from the perpetrators of these 2 scams, who have disappeared. I never received any return from either one. I invested in both about 15 months ago at the recommendation of Matthew Calder , owner of http://www.feederfund.com.

    I invested $111,800 in P S H I at http://www.myphoenixselect.com as a “Partner” based upon the owner’s ( “a/k/a” Blake Prater ) promise of a 12.5 % monthly return / yield. I invested $108,200 in F X I G , owned and operated by a/k/a “Fred Honea” at wwww.fxig.com ( Forex Investment Group) who promised returns exceeding 17 % per month.

The current E-Gold managers ( even ‘tho it is now run / operated by some ? department ? of Our Government) said they couldn’t assist in a recovery and that Honea was in Spain ( his domain / server is registered in Hong Kong) and that Blake Prater was in England ( his domain / server is registered in Singapore ).

My college roommate is with the USDOJ and he told me that the Secret Service has now been charged with / assigned to pursue ALL ! Internet Financial Crimes and HAS and will work with Interpol on international money movements / tracings / trackings with intent to seize for victims, so I spoke at length and great disappointment with the Secret Service agents who simply told me , quite inexplicably, that “the money’s GONE” and they can not assist in any recovery because the stolen monies are in Singapore and Hong Kong. ! ! !
    > HUH ?? !
Seems wrong and stupid to me. My USDOJ contact was very shocked by this ( he complained to superiors ) and now advises me to get a group of victims together, with a “list” of victims and amounts ripped off to present to USSS and Interpol , and then talk with any ( but different ! ) agents in the Secret Service who will be more properly receptive and more competently pro-active to investigate and seize the monies and the felons’ assets for all the injured, very damaged victims.

My God! This scam is unbelievable.

I am wondering if the promises were in writing and why the secret service is involved. Can someone explain that to me?

You are saying that “Blake Prater” is in England.....I’m quite sure he is in jail in Connecticut and has been for almost 3 years and is awaiting another trial.  He was running a program by the name of “Mpact” and was shut down by the SEC.  I was under the understanding that he was to have no more dealings with that sort of thing.  Are we talking about the same Blake Prater?

I’ve flagged this one anyway.  If there are others, report ‘em to this watchlist thingy and I’ll check them out.  I’m kind of addicted to it in fact.

My father and I both took sizeable loses with Mr. Honea. He promised an audit nearly a year ago, and has fallen of the grid since this past fall. I helped rally people together in another suit, where myself and others were scammed, and we won in a court of law. This was regarding a person here in the states. As for Fred, he’s tougher to track down. BUT I SAY WE DO WHAT EVER WE CAN, to gather forces and pursue him through our government. If he lost the money trading, then I will accept that, even though that means he didn’t abide by his rules of never investing more then 10% of your account in any one trade. But without the audit he assured us was forthcoming, and his apparent disappearance, it all suggests that the loses may have not been solely due to merely bad trade management. Please let me know if anyone is intersted in doing that. I’d like to speak with MWADMIN.
